Innovate or Die!

If you are wondering why I would give this post such a drastic title it's because we are thinking of totally re-working the MCBC Women's Ministry Inspirational Day.

Garry Janzen, our MCBC Executive Minister, used these very same words at a meeting as part of his opening devotional and it just struck such a cord with me.

Women's Ministry for all intents and purposes already died once in 2007 - sort off!

We have worked hard at breathing new life into the women's Retreat Weekend and we are so happy to have had your support and encouragement over the last few years while participating and enjoying the fun together with us.

However, now it seems that we may have to tackle the Inspirational Day.
Our attendance has been dropping for the last number of years and our younger generation has not yet realized the value of this event.

Whatever the reasons for the slow decline of the Inspirational Day, we think that the time has come to re-evaluate this event.

This is where the "Innovate or Die" just hit me like a ton of bricks!
We certainly don't want to die!

Soo... with your permission and your input we would like to make this an event that women would NOT want to miss, if at all possible!

We ask for your prayerful support as well as your ideas and suggestions, starting with a possible new name for this event.

We obviously cannot promise that everything will be incorporated but we will consider all ideas and suggestions.

We will be waiting to hear from you with great anticipation! :-)

Blessings!

Our BC Student!

Annika Krause
Just thought that you would like to read how our friendly BC girl from
Sherbrooke Mennonite Church in Vancouver, is doing with her studies at AMBS.
You can read her nice letter HERE.

You will recall that we raised funds for the Spiritual Growth Assistance Fund
at our Fall Women's Retreat 2 months ago.
This fund assists with her financial needs while she is studying!
You can read more about this in our previous blog entry about the retreat.
